What are we going in?
Meet Milo - a 1975 MGB GT 'sports' car
In keeping with all of our other Hair'venture vehicles, Milo:
a) starts with an 'M' (no idea why)
b) is a wholly unsuitable vehicle for such a trip
Currently he is up on a ramp in a garage trying to be salvaged into some kind of road worthiness. We don't believe there was enough room on the MOT fail sheet for what exactly needs fixing. All Jonathan wants is for Milo to "look wicked" - hence the version 1 & 2 photos.
But, we have our fingers & toes crossed that he will be ready in time for the trip. If not, then in the words of Lando Calrissian, "this will be the shortest offensive of all time"...
Where are we going?
From the UK, it'll be straight into Northern Europe to meet with some fellow 2011 Mongol Rallyers, and the delights of Denmark, Norway, Sweden & Finland*
After that it's down through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania & Poland, and onto our key destination - Italy (where Meg will be starting culinary school).
Finally, we'll make our way back up to the UK via France - for wine, cheese and casinos.
All in all nearly 10,000 km and 6 weeks of European joy.
No, we didn't realise Europe was that big either.
